On the eleventh day of December...

Written by: Dan Mackevicius, Communications Intern

On the eleventh day of December, my true love gave for me measles vaccinations for children worldwide.

Measles kills about 450 people each day, mostly children.  The Red Cross, with other Measles Initiative partners, strives to educate families about this disease and encourages mothers to bring their children to clinics for measles vaccinations.

A $25 donation will give these life-saving vaccinations to 25 children.  Last year the American Red Cross and its international partners helped 5 million people in 20 countries following disasters.
